The story takes place on a wonderful night in Changsha. Nightbird Jing Weiwei met He Xixi, who was about to leave her hometown tomorrow morning at a bookstore, and they arranged to take a night trip together.

Enric Marco, ex-president of the Spain’s main deportees’ association, embarks on a car trip to Germany, a demythologising journey into his past. Two years earlier, a historian had shown that Enric Marco wasn’t the member of the Resistance he had claimed to be, and that he’d made up the stories of his experiences in a concentration camp that he had been recounting on television for years. Now, Marco retraces the route of his 1941 train journey as part of a convoy of workers sent by Franco to Hitler, in the middle of the Second World War.

The idea for hosting the concert was envisaged by Ronnie Lane, ex-bassist for The Small Faces and The Faces, himself a casualty of multiple sclerosis. The concert was billed as The Ronnie Lane Appeal for ARMS and featured a star-studded line-up of British musicians, including Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Steve Winwood, Andy Fairweather Low, Bill Wyman, Kenney Jones and Charlie Watts. The concert was particularly notable in the fact that it was the first occasion on which Clapton, Beck and Page, each a former lead guitarist for The Yardbirds, had performed together on stage.

Berlin, 1993. Photographer and artist Jürgen Baldiga battles HIV. In the 1990s, the AIDS epidemic is reaching a climax that no one had expected. The infected bodies and their stories disappear from the public eye, as though they'd never existed. Through the death of his friends and subsequently his own, Baldiga becomes a chronicler of his time: "I am taking a picture. I am photographing the world. I exist."

An elderly woman is sitting in her kitchen, cooking and talking to someone, explaining the recent happenings in the apartment complex she lives in, regarding a neighbor. She recalls stories told by others from the building and talks to the person on the phone about how she has barely seen him and about all the noise he causes and unexplainable behavior she's noticed. The whole situation is beginning to scare her.
