This documentary special, featuring interviews with main Dragon Quest creators Yuji Horii, Koichi Nakamura, Akira Toriyama, and Koichi Sugiyama, originally aired on NHK at the end of 2016 to celebrate Dragon Quest’s 30th anniversary. In addition to the interviews, there’s behind the scenes footage of DQXI, plus a re-telling of the making of the very first Dragon Quest.

The Gift That Gives follows the story of Callum Mori (Takaya Honda), the author of a book entitled, The Gift That Gives. He makes his first television appearance as a guest of The Arts Corner television show, presented by Kate Sedgeman (Lily Brown-Griffiths), who falls for him. Callum, however, falls for her best friend, Linda (HaiHa Le). Linda owns the bookshop where Callum launches his book but luckily for Kate, fate brings her and Callum’s brother, Austin (Damien Sato) together, as they discover hidden love letters, signed by aliases. Jointly, they all try to find out who penned them.

Tom Randle and Caitlin Hulcup embody the fatal lovers in this production by Welsh National Opera.

Faultlessly fitting tuxedo, hair slicked back, a cheeky look and Max Raabe sings the best of the 20s and early 30s with amusing nostalgia. The ironic lyrics suit the times today as much they did eighty years ago. The movie features a February 2009 performance from Max Raabe & The Palast Orchester in Berlin, Germany’s Admiralpalast.

Captain Gerard, greatest lover in the Foreign Legion, is assigned to escort an emir's daughter to her father's mountain citadel and find out what he can about the emir's activities. Gerard enjoys his work with lovely Cara, but arrives to find rebellion brewing.

A collection of short shorts, a dozen or so short episodes and gags in 32 minutes. From the hilarious to the thought-provoking, all of the short films have an urban sense of humour, especially the second half, "My right hand, my left foot and the back of my head at the age of 23", which is full of wit and humour, firing like a machine gun. In the latter half of the film, the witty monologue and the rhythmical development of the images are beautifully synchronized, and the light but flexible "23-year-old me" speaks eloquently of his existence. Many of the film's gags are made up of deformed gags about the funny things that happen in the daily life of the author, a student, and the uniqueness of the characters makes this a film that will be loved by many people.

A Very Goth Christmas Story is a horror machinima by Alvin Soprano, set in the world of The Sims 2. The film takes place on Christmas morning in the Goth household shortly after Bella Goth’s mysterious disappearance. It follows Mortimer Goth as he deals with grief, suspicion, and a chilling surprise. On this cold and lonely Christmas, Mortimer wakes up to find a mysterious package left at the front door. With Bella gone and no answers in sight, the gift raises questions — and dread. The story builds tension as Mortimer struggles with loss and the strange presence of Dina Caliente, his mistress. The film’s shocking climax reveals that the package contains Bella’s severed head, sent as a deadly message from Dina, exposing a dark and twisted betrayal within the family.
