More than a decade after his yellows boots first kicked up big laughs on TV, Singapore's favourite contractor has finally made the big leap to the silver screen. Now based in Kuala Lumpur, Phua Chu Kang and wife Rosie get a visit from Kang's beloved Ah Ma. But even before she unpacks her luggage, Ah Ma disappears. What happened to her? Did she run away? Why? Or was she kidnapped? Kang's desperate search for Ah Ma leads him in an old folks home and its smarmy CEO, Lim Lau Pek, who offers Kang a lucrative contracting job. But first, he has to beat his arch nemesis, Frankie Foo, who is after the same job. Things take a surprising turn at the old folks home when Lim takes an amorous interest in Rosie, then Kang is accused of killing one of the elderly residents. Is Frankie behind this? What is Lim Lau Pek really up to?

In the middle of a broadcast about Typhoon Yolanda's initial impact, reporter Jiggy Manicad was faced with the reality that he no longer had communication with his station. They were, for all intents and purposes, stranded in Tacloban. With little option, and his crew started the six hour walk to Alto, where the closest broadcast antenna was to be found. Letting the world know what was happening to was a priority, but they were driven by the need to let their families and friends know they were all still alive. Along the way, they encountered residents and victims of the massive typhoon, and with each step it became increasingly clear just how devastating this storm was. This film has nothing to do with Robert Louis Stevenson's classic story, but rather a naval base of the same name located in San Francisco Bay. Set amid WWII, TREASURE ISLAND follows two American code specialists that are hard at work trying to decipher Japanese messages and sending confusing messages back to deceive the enemy. The film explores sexual themes that were prevalent during the period, but not shown in the movies of that era. Frank, a bigamist, is married to two women and is pursuing a third wife. Samuel and his wife Penny are in a ménage à trois, which he participates in to cover up his homosexuality. As the pressures of the men’s lives begin to eat away at them, the dead body starts to torment Frank and Samuel's subconscious, interacting with the private stories of their lives.

The film revolves around the life of the martyr Mustapha Ben Bouleid (1917-1956), who was a member of the Algerian National Movement, who worked with his comrades to explain the idea of the armed revolution in which he led in Aures region in 1954. The film depicts how Ben Bouleid traveled to a number of Arab countries Disguised to bring arms to Algeria for the revolution and how the French colonial forces arrested him in the Tunisian-Libyan border, and from there to Algeria to be sentenced to death.
