François Berthier’s life is a series of unfortunate events. One day, however, a miracle occurs for François and his expected misfortune is changed to never-ending luck.

Ajami is an area of Tel Aviv in Israel where Arabs, Palestinians, Jews and Christians live together in a tense atmosphere. Finally he discovers that Philippe de Gonzague is the man for whom he is looking.
