NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia is a professional wrestling show and WWE Network event in the NXT TakeOver series that takes place on January 27, 2018 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The event is produced by WWE for its NXT brand and it will be streamed live on the WWE Network.

It follows a young man who dreams of becoming a general and Ying Zheng, whose goal is unification.

Central focus is placed on Hiroshi Araki, a young man who finds himself elevated to chief spokesman for Aum after its leaders are arrested. Araki faces extreme hostility from the Japanese public, who find it hard to believe that most followers of the cult had no idea of the attacks and even harder to understand why these followers remain devoted to the religion, if not the violence.
