Most people in the neighborhood know Rasheeda. On a typical day in the Chicago Southland, she hangs out with her best friend Femi, checks out the newest dance craze, and chills with friends at your usual kickback. But while Rasheeda revels in Black joy, she also comes to terms with her reality, unsure if who she is will ever truly be accepted.

When a young man, Malik, comes in claiming to be a black Muslim that is doing good for the neighborhood, Moses takes him on as a partner but soon realizes that Malik is nothing but a drug dealer seeking to destroy the neighborhood and Moses's daughter. "The Mystery Cruise" centers around best friends and impending business partners, Alvirah Meehan (Gail O'Grady), a lottery winner turned amateur sleuth, and Regan Reilly (Michelle Harrison), a private investigator. After rescuing the diamond-collared pooch of a wealthy socialite (Carol Higgins Clark), the two heroines set off with their spouses to join Regan's mom, Nora Reilly (Colleen Winton), a world famous mystery writer, on a luxurious three day cruise around the San Juan Island off the coast of Washington. The cruise serves as the setting for a mystery game created to promote the release of Nora's latest book. As the boat calmly sets sail, everyone is enjoying getting into character, especially Alvirah, who may or may not be the games "murderess." But troubled waters lie ahead when Alvirah gets a hunch that a real killer may be on board and, together with Regan, the pair teams up to solve the high seas whodunnit.

Another short was 3 American LPs, which was the first film I did with Peter Handke. It was a film about American music, about three pieces of three LPs. There was a song by Van Morrison, another by Harvey Mandel, and one of Credence Clearwater Revival. It was mainly the music and some shots out of a car, landscapes out of the car window. And it had a little bit of commentary – dialogue between Peter and me about American music and about how American rock music was about emotion and images instead of sounds. That is to say, about a kind of phenomenon, that it was in a way a kind of film music, but without a moving picture. It was a 12-minute film and it was never shown. – Wim Wenders

Two dogs, Polkan and Shavka, watched a flock of sheep by the river. Suddenly, they notice a hare, chase after him and run into the forest, where they meet face-to-face with three wolves. Shavka, chickening out, backs away, and the brave Polkan takes the fight. In a fierce fight, he manages to defeat one wolf, but from wounds he loses consciousness.
