Fittingly, it shows, among other things, the Hansaviertel, which was redeveloped in the 1950s. The film documents several special events in Berlin's contemporary history; the construction of the Berlin Wall in 1961, John F. Kennedy's visit in 1963 and the demolition of some parts of the old Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church.
