Major Chandrakanth (Telugu: మేజర్ చంద్రకాంత్) is a 1993 Telugu film. N.T. Rama Rao and Mohan Babu played the lead roles. It Is Produced by Mohan Babu under His Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures Banner. Presented by Mohan Babu's younger son Manoj Kumar and directed by veteran K. Raghavendra Rao, the film had music by M. M. Keeravani, story-dialogues by Paruchuri brothers, lyrics by Jaladi-Gurucharan-Rasaraju, cinematography by Ajay Vincent and art by Bhaskara Raju with Sharada, Nagma, Ramya Krishna and Brahmanandam in other important roles. A young girl witnesses a violent and ultimately fatal act between her mother and another man and it emotionally scars her for years to come. "Maintenance by any Means" is about two maintenance men vying for the position of maintenance supervisor in an apartment complex. The maintenance men must compete with each other in order to get the job left open by the former Maintenance Supervisor. They need evaluations by the people who live at the apartments for every work order they finish. The problem is the renters themselves. Each one they run into has their own set of interesting problems. The maintenance men soon discover that a positive review may be hard to come by. Fixing broken down items in the apartments is the least of their worries. Finally one of the maintenance men must win the contest, by any means.

Here the codes are both amplified and distanced by an expressionist plastic that for the first time perhaps in Expressionism, takes humor into account. Some very close-ups of flowers, insects, are reminiscent of the prose of a Caillois that I did not know until this film equivalent cinema. There is a double movement in this film. At the same time, a sort of restraint of the plans and a bulimia, a frenzy to film, perhaps this is what mainly troubles us and takes us into a way of seeing that was unknown to us.

In a driving school, three women of different ages meet for the so-called idiot test. There is a close friendship between the women. Annette, Katja and Isabel unite dislike for the macho driving instructor Marius, but also enthusiasm for Erik, who also has to undergo retraining.
